Functional and Beautiful
The windows of the bathroom look out over a beautiful backyard with lots of tree cover. The many windows provide ample light, but the tree cover ensures the bathroom remains a private oasis of comfort. To add to the feeling of lightness and brightness, easy draw light-filtering honeycomb shades provide an extra layer of privacy while still allowing the light to shine through.
Recessed pot lighting provides additional brightness and airiness to the space, without interrupting the clean, modern lines.
When retiling the bathroom, the client chose beautiful white porcelain tiles. The striking white floor tiles amplify the light, leading up to one of the bathroom centrepieces – a gorgeous freestanding white soaker tub.
The monochromatic look of the floors and tub is offset by the soft earth tones of the large corner shower space.
Quality Custom Designed Shower Space
The standout showpiece of this bathroom remodel is the custom-designed shower. That is…custom-designed from bottom to top.
A custom cultured textured slip-resistant shower base added to the safety of the space without sacrificing visual appeal. Matching walls were added with no grout – a long life choice as no grout equals no water damage.
Earth tones in the shower walls and floor harmonize with the outdoor space in view just beyond the windows, while creating a striking contrast with the white tile.
Two showerheads – rainforest and hand-held showerheads – add to the spa-like luxury of the shower space. The added small bench provides a practical touch, acting as both an extra shelf and place to sit, or a handy area where you can prop up a leg.
Beautiful and strong tempered glass corner shelving provides additional storage for shower essentials.
Surrounded by custom cut glass, the shower is both a functional and beautiful addition to this custom bathroom renovation.
